I’m Lauren Birney, junior Geography major at the University of Mary Washington. From late February til mid-July I’ll be living, studying, and exploring in Chile. I will attend the Pontifícia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, while living in the with a host family in the nearby city of Viña del Mar. During my stay, I’ll be visiting places like Santiago, Horcón, Isla Negra, Pucón, La Serena, among others. We finallyfigured out how to find the blog. So we will check in daily. For now we have just two weeks before we return home. We have gone to two Phillies games, one had 22 runs and 25 hits. It was a carousel. Temps are high here. In the 80′s.

haha nope…but apparently there have been discovered mummified pre-historic sloths in a town that i stayed in this past weekend. didn’t see them myself, but it sounds pretty cool.
